Professional Background
Before founding Williamson, Abraham cut his teeth in prestigious U.S. firms in New York City and Nashville, TN working with a multitude of clients building (and investing in) innovative sectors such as technology, media, asset management, insurance, aviation, manufacturing, real estate, and various consulting industries.
His get-togethers in his Harlem apartment grew his interest in supporting high-growth companies where he and his roommate “the Wall Street Artist” hosted founders, aspiring angels, and VCs in their living room-turned-art-studio. That’s when Abraham began to pivot from representing billion-dollar private equity firms to counseling the next high-growth startups in venture financings and by negotiating complex technology and customer agreements. After representing more than a dozen Techstars companies across the U.S., Abraham founded Williamson to help founding teams from idea through Series A, never quite leaving them, and working with international founder teams incorporating in the United States.
Giving Back
Abraham’s legal affairs extend to not-for-profit companies, particularly in the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums), where he’s become an astute counselor in strategic alliances. Whether it’s helping to preserve one of the largest photography collections from the 20th century or advising organizations equipping the next generation of professionals with the scholarships and training they need to compete, Williamson is committed to paying it forward.
